Furthermore, the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Council Bluffs is available 24 hours, with 38,500 sq.ft., 1,589 slots, 36 table games, and four eatery’s. There are numerous other popular Iowa casinos, which includes Harrah’s Council Bluffs, with 28,250 square feet, 1,212 one armed bandits, and 39 table games.
A smaller Iowa casino is the Diamond Jo, a paddle wheel boat casino in Dubuque, with 17,813 sq.ft., 776 slot machines, and 19 table games. The Catfish Bend water based, in Fort Madison, with 13,000 sq.ft., 535 slots, and 14 table games. Another Iowa water based gambling den, The Isle of Capri, is available all hours, with 24,939 sq.ft., 1,100 one armed bandits, and 24 table games. The Mississippi Belle II, a 10,577 sq.ft. riverboat gambling hall in Clinton, has 506 slots, 14 table games, live entertainment, and Thursday twenty-one events.
Iowa casinos provide an excellent amount of tax income to the state government of Iowa, which has allowed the budgeting of many state wide projects. Tourism has grown at a rapid percentage accompanied with the request for processors and a gain in employment.
